The Way To His Heart
God has a special way of speaking to us at just the time we need to hear. Once I saw somebody holding a dirty rag hitting it against a concrete wall. In their futile effort they were trying to make this dirty rag clean. With each blow against the hard surface a cloud of dust filled the air and in that instance, the Lord showed me that the dirty rag was my life. It was full of dirt that was not pleasing to Him. The Bible says in Isaiah 64:6 (GW) We’ve all become unclean, and all our righteous acts are like permanently stained rags.
Even the things that we think are good works are nothing more than filthy rags…
In that moment, I cried out to Jesus for mercy. I asked Him to examine my heart to take away any thing that was not pleasing to Him; anger, bitterness, ungodliness. I wanted him to have complete control.
Asking God to remove all the impurity in our lives is the way to His heart.
Ezekiel 36:25-26 says, “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities…I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
Do you have things you have hidden in your heart that displeases the Lord? Come to Him, ask forgiveness and He will cleanse you and make you pure again...it's the way to His heart.
