Team Spirit

As most of you know, VBS has come and gone. Even though it is over, there are still remnants of it left, other than my messy office. The lessons and truths from VBS are still in the air.

I was thinking earlier today about one of the five main points from VBS, that

God is for you.

I love that one. It makes you feel good inside. The God that created everything on this earth with just his voice, is rooting you on. It makes you feel powerful and loved. Nothing can stop you when you are doing his will. I love that.

But then, I started thinking a little deeper about that truth. I love when people are on my team, but whose team am I on? Who am I rooting for? I think way too often we get caught up in life and forget whose team we are on. Would my friends and family say without a doubt, that I am on their team? I would like to think so. Would your spouse or kids say that you are on their team? It’s not enough to have God for us, we need to make sure that our loved ones know that we are for them too! Through the forgotten chores, spilled milk, messy rooms, our families need to know that we are on their side and are rooting for them in life.

What can you do today to show your family that you are without a doubt on their team and their biggest cheerleader? Let’s take it from God, and let someone feel the greatness of having someone for you.
